Hi, I am Mariana (but please, call me Mari!), your fellow candle lover, and founder of MOIAE.

I started Made of Ink & Ember in Salt Lake City in early 2024. It began as a hobby and creative outlet after moving across the country with my husband, away from all that was familiar to me. That is why I took inspiration in all of the things that brought me comfort for MOAIE: books, TV shows, movies, and the joy of slow mornings at home. Soon, making candles became a literal beacon of light and a source of peace in the face of anxiety. These principles became our mission: to spread light, knowledge, and positivity in the world!

Therefore, our greater scents of purpose were created not only to make your space even cozier, but also to make an impact beyond the walls of your home. We have partnered with the SI SE PUEDE! Scholarship Foundation, so for every product purchased we will be donating $1 towards their cause. Each fragrance also includes a mystery book recommendation for you, because a book, a candle, and a warm drink is the best pairing for any occasion.
